Ridge’s eco-sustainable winery stands as one of the most unique sites in all of Sonoma County’s wine country. A natural extension of their commitment to sustainable vineyard and winery practices, this remarkable facility — built of straw bales and vineyard clay, and primarily solar-powered — is a wonderful environment to experience their exceptional single-vineyard wines.
In an ongoing commitment to reducing their carbon footprint, Ridge challenged us with developing a more sustainable option for their wooden boxes. After months of research, we arrived at a three-bottle box made from 100% recycled paper, water-based ink, and green cell foam packing material that dissolves in water, quite literally disappearing. The new package design will annually save 10,000 wooden boxes 50,000 pounds of total weight being shipped around the world.

Ridge Vineyards takes their commitment to sustainability a step further than farming and applies it to their community. We collaborate with them regularly to design rich content that fosters connection with wine club members and adds value and inspiration to their table and lives.
